Week #25: Belly button drama
So you know during the pregnancy some women are afraid of the changes the body goes through. I mean, you gain a lot of kilograms over a short time, your boobs grow, you can’t see your own toes anymore… But I guess most women are afraid of the strech marks. What I’m afraid of? If my belly button’s gonna pop. I mean, mine is an “innie” and I must confess that I don’t really like “outie” navels. Sorry if I offend you, but that’s just me. So I have asked numerous people if their belly buttom popped or if every navel really becomes an outie, and every time I ask I get a “yes”.
My belly is pretty huge, but it still didn’t show signs of popping, only becoming wider, until just about now. I mean, I can see now that it’s only a matter of time before I can see the inside of it. I creeps me out.
Freako post? Yes. Sorry about that. This just really bothers me. Seriously.
And I’m sorry again.

Hi hi! Min navle e innover, og den poppa aldri ut! Det e håp! Ha ha! Du e nu litt søt!
Hello! I was afriad of the same thing actually, I even googled it. Come to find out that it’s really rare for that to happen. Almost when I was about to deliver my daughter, my belly was so big that my belly button was kind of sticking out. Sure enough though after the delivery it went back to normal. I’m not sure if my experience will help you feel better, but im sure you’ll be fine
Congratz by the way!
Don’t apologize!! It’s a perfectly natural fear *hug* You’re pretty far along right? if it hasn’t popped by now, it prolly won’t. but i’ve never had kids so i don’t really know anything !
Hello! Long-time lurker here.
I watched an episode of a TV show once where one of the characters was pregnant, and I guess the actress was pregnant in real life too. At one point she lifted up her shirt and her belly button was popped out. It freaked me out! I guess I didn’t realize or had never thought about that happening when you’re pregnant, but now it’s one of the fears I have associated with pregnancy. I want to become pregnant someday, but I’m not particularly looking forward to the whole process.
I think it’s perfectly normal to get freaked out about stuff like that. The body goes through some crazy changes when it has a baby inside.
Wow… I never even thought of that!! Lol, I have an innie too! :S
Good to know that I’m not the only weirdo here
